PEOPLE will sell anything online - old clothes, concert tickets, even cars.
But when skint student Natalie Dylan decided to auction her virginity, she attracted a lot more interest than a second hand motor.
And now the asking price to bed her has hit £2.6million, after more than 10,000 reported bids.

The top spot is currently being held by a 39-year-old Australian businessman who made the offer via her website.
Busty 22-year-old American Natalie - seen here posing in a new set of suggestive snaps - unveiled her plan on shock jock Howard Stern's radio show last year.
She came up with the idea after older sister Avia funded her University studies by working as a prostitute for three weeks.
Natalie has since faced a steady stream of criticism from women and allegations from men over the validity of her virginity claims.
Yet her lot has become one of the biggest, barmiest and, well, blue auctions the Internet has ever seen.

“It’s not like an eBay auction," she said recently. "I don’t have to take the highest bidder.
"I’m taking time to get to know the guys. We contact each other back and forth.
“I’m selling my virginity, it’s a one time thing and I’m definitely willing to work with them.”
Hard-up Natalie - who is keeping her real name a secret - was speaking for the first time during an appearance on Tyra Banks' talkshow across the Pond.
The web is currently buzzing with accusations of lies and fakery as the bidding continues to rise into 2009.
But Natalie has defended her decision. She said: “I think people misconstrue virginity with being prudes.
"I’m definitely not; I’m very open-minded to what they want to do.
"I think this is about being pro-choice with your body. I completely plan on following through with this act.”
"I know that a lot of people will condemn me for this because it's so taboo but I really don't have a problem with it."
Natalie, of San Diego, chatted to the former model alongside a wrinkly 59-year-old who was at that point in the running.
If she goes through with her claim, she won't be the first to flog her virginity online.

In 2004, a lesbian student from the University of Bristol was said to have sold hers online for £8,400.
Londoner Rosie Reid, 18, reportedly slept with a 44-year-old BT engineer in a Euston hotel room after paying up.
But it didn't seem like she enjoyed the experience.
According to reports at the time, she said afterwards: "It was horrible. I felt nervous and scared."
No doubt Natalie will be hoping she clicks with her winner a bit more... that's if she does it at all.

HOLLYWOOD bosses want to turn virginity auction girl Natalie Dylan's sex sale story into a film.

The busty student says she's been flooded with movie and book offers since news of her naughty offer spread.

Porn producers have also shown an interest - but Natalie has refused.

The student - who is selling her virginity on a Nevada brothel website - revealed: "I've been contacted by a film production companies and literary publishers.

"I have been contacted by porn bosses too, but I'm not going down that path.

"I have no problem with porn, I watch porn but it's not something I want to do."

The highest bid for a bonk currently stands at a whopping £2.6million.

Yet Natalie has told how she might pull out of sleeping with anybody if she can make enough cash from deals before she puts pen to paper.

She said: "I'm going to keep this auction open because these offers are very lucrative.

"I'm doing this for money and I haven't signed anything yet.

"It's quite possible I could make a $1million without doing it.

"To have sex at the Bunny Ranch is not my main goal in life.

"If I get enough money I won't do it. It's not something I anticipated from the beginning but these deals are impressive.

"If I make a million, why would I still need to do it?"


Natalie has made clear she just wants to make enough money to continue her education.

Her school teacher mum is in favour of her gaining qualifications but against her selling her body.

She also had to put up with her other daughter working in a brothel to fund her degree.

But Natalie says that despite the headlines, mum still sticks by her girls.

She added: "She didn't like it when Avia worked at the brothel and would never do anything like that. But she still loves her."



THE £2.6m virginity auction girl has confessed to sexual experiences with men - but stressed: "I AM still a virgin."


In an exclusive interview with The Sun, American student Natalie Dylan also hit out at claims her X-rated stunt is degrading to women.

The 22-year-old - who has made headlines around the world with her idea - said: "I expected a lot of people to condemn me for my decision.

"But I'm not hurting anyone. I'm not breaking any laws. Hitmen make a lot of money but I would never do that.

"And I'm not going against any of my own morals. I've never looked down on prostitution, I just never thought I'd go into it.

"I'm a very pro-choice person. I think everyone should do what they think is right with their body."
She got the moneymaking idea after her older sister Avia worked as a hooker for two weeks to fund her university degree.

But Natalie isn't fussed by what people say.

"I'm not trying to prove to the world that I'm still a virgin," she says calmly.

"I've passed two unbiased lie detector tests to prove it.

"I am a sexual person and I've had sexual encounters - both casual and with a boyfriend.

"But I've abstained from sexual intercourse.

"Yes, I've had long serious boyfriends and for whatever reasons we decided to wait."

Natalie first unveiled her bonk offer on US shock jock Howard Stern's radio show last September.

She didn't expect to attract worldwide attention but as the bids soared, so has the interest.
There's now said to be 10,000 offers placed on the web for a night with her.

Even with such a big choice, Natalie is adamant it's not a search for Mr Right.

She added: "I'm not looking to find my husband out of this, or even a boyfriend.
"Nor am I looking to hurt anyone's emotions.

"It will be a different feeling having my first time with somebody I don't love but I don't dwell on the fact.

A GRANDAD fears he’s running out of luck — after surviving his NINTH brush with death.


John Watt was reversing his motor when a piece of slate smashed through the sunroof and missed his head by inches.


It was the latest of the 67-year-old’s miraculous escapes — and he reckons he has a guardian angel protecting him.

Over the years John, of Fraserburgh, Aberdeeenshire, has survived two car crashes and been run over by his OWN motor.

He’s also cut through a live mains cable, shot himself in the hand and head in separate incidents and fallen into a harbour and into the River Tyne.

John said: “I don’t know why I’ve been so lucky. There must be a guardian angel looking out for me.

“Everyone has mishaps and accidents but I suppose I’ve had more than most people.”


His first accident happened aged just nine when he found a shotgun cartridge and crafted a makeshift gun.

He was aiming for a seagull when he blew his thumbs to bits. Six years later he misfired a shot from a real gun and grazed the side of his face.


And 20 years ago he hit the headlines when he cut through an electric cable in the garden.


John said: “I had my rubber boots and leather gloves on. If I hadn’t been wearing them I’d have been a goner.” Fisherman Mr Watt also had to be pulled from Fraserburgh Harbour by a colleague after he landed in the icy water.


And on another occasion he fell into the River Tyne. He said: “Again things were on my side. The tide washed me up.”

When he was learning to drive, John sent his car careering into a ditch after the steering wheel broke off in his hand. Then aged 18 he rolled a vehicle on to its roof in frosty conditions.

His worst mishap with a motor came when his car had a flat battery and he pushed it at the top of a hill. When it started rolling he ran to the front of the motor. John said: “It was really stupid. I was pinned between it and a shop.”

His latest calamity happened as he reversed on Fraserburgh’s main street and a slate smashed through his sunroof. John said: “If there had been anyone in the back they would have been a goner. It’s unbelievable.”

He added: “I’ve got to take all this in my stride. If I didn’t I would be a quivering wreck. I’d never leave the house.”

WHEN his dad turned violent, Little Feng, who's barely 3, shielded his pregnant mum and bore the brunt of his dad's anger.

The father, a 24-year-old man surnamed Lu, didn't just stop after kicking his son away. He even trampled on him several times, reported Apple Daily.

Later that night, Little Feng was diagnosed with a broken chest bone and damaged liver and intestines.

Lu, who is suffering from manic depression, was charged in a Hong Kong court on Monday for causing grievous hurt.

Little Feng's mum, known only as Ms Liang, and Lu are not married but they live together in Ms Liang's flat in Tuen Mun. They also have an older son who's 5.
The incident happened at 3pm last Saturday.

Ms Liang wanted to take a nap and asked Lu to look after Little Feng.

However, Lu, who was on the bed, also wanted to sleep. He kicked Ms Liang to the floor. A heated argument ensued.

Little Feng, who was in the living room, heard the commotion and entered the bedroom where he saw his mum sitting on the floor.

The little boy walked over to his mum and shielded her instinctively.

Then, Lu snapped.

He got off the bed and kicked Little Feng in the chest.

Little Feng wailed loudly from the shock, but Lu did not relent. He continued with another four to five kicks.

Ms Liang then got up and tried to restrain Lu but she was also kicked away.

She ran to the corridor and shouted for help, but to no avail.When she returned, she saw Little Feng holding his stomach and crying in pain.

She carried Little Feng to her parents' house, which was on the same floor, for safety.

A few hours later, Lu, who is on medication for his bipolar disorder, had cooled down. He carried Little Feng back.

Hyper-ventilating

But the worse was not over. At 8pm, Ms Liang heard Little Feng moaning in pain and hyper-ventilating.

It took three hours before Lu decided to send Little Feng to hospital.

From the diagnosis, the doctor realised that Little Feng needed emergency operation, otherwise his life would be in danger.

Besides a broken chest bone, he also had multiple lacerations on his liver and intestines and suffered internal bleeding.

The hospital later notified the police, reported Apple Daily. Lu was then arrested.

Lu was a mover who had lost his job after an accident. He is said to have a history of violence against his other son two years ago, reported Apple Daily.

Social workers then took the other son to a children's home.

However, as Ms Liang was Little Feng's primary caregiver, they left him with her and Lu.

Identical twin brothers escaped the death penalty in a Malysian drug trafficking trial after

The court ruled authorities could not prove which man committed the alleged crime, news reports said yesterday.

“ I can’t be sending the wrong person to the gallows , “ the New Straits Times newspaper quoted the judge in the case as saying.

Police arrested the 27- year- old brothers in August 2003 after they found large amounts of opium and marijuana in a house to which one of the twins had the key. Both men are charged, but Kuala Lumpur High Court Judge Aahrah Ebrahim ruled that only the twin

Because the brothers’ identical features made it impossible for officers testifying to point out which one had been found with the key , she hand no choice but to acquit both men.

A 15-year-old cat's eyesight has been restored by contact lenses in what's believed to be a medical first.


Ernest the cat was suffering from entropion, which meant his lids turned inwards and scratched his eyeball, reports Sky News.

Vets suggested the innovative solution because the cat was too old to risk a general anaesthetic.

Staff at the Godshill RSPCA on the Isle of Wight - Ernest's home of 13 years - said they had never heard of a cat wearing contact lenses before.

"He's much more comfortable. Previously his eyes were shut, now they are open," branch administrator Les Burrows said.

"We always used Ernest to test new dogs brought into us to see if they were scared of cats because he was never fazed.

"He is much more wary of the dogs now because he can actually see them."

Ernest will continue to live at the RSPCA because he is a permanent and popular fixture on the reception desk, he added. The lenses will be removed and cleaned by staff every three weeks.

Missingwoman’s body found in sewer

Dubai: A construction worker discovered the body of a dead Myanmarese woman in a manhole in Al Nahda, Dubai, on Sunday morning.

The labourer, who was one of many at the scene, discovered the body at around 10am.

The Dubai Police were contacted and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) cordoned off the area. An ambulance later arrived to collect the body.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said the workers who found the body were horrified. Some said the woman was "completely naked".

"I first saw her legs pointing outwards and her head trapped inside. It is horrific & I just can't believe what I saw," one of the workers said.

According to Colonel Khalil Al Mansouri, Director of the CID, the Burmese waitress had been reported missing five days earlier by her roommates and employer, Emirates airline.

"One of her male Indian colleagues, whom she had a relationship with, has been in police custody since the day she was reported missing as it is believed he was the last person to be seen with her. We are still investigating the cause of death," he told Gulf News.

A roommate said the deceased, 30, was "a beautiful, young, petite woman who was kind, loving and friendly - especially to her Myanmarese roommates".

She said they had come to Dubai together in September 2008.

"She told us she befriended a colleague around 15 to 20 days ago and that he proposed to her. I don't know if they were in a relationship. I think she saw him only as a friend," the roommate said.

The woman said she last saw her friend on February 15, while on duty.

KANCHANABURI, Thailand -- Deep in the heart of Western Thailand, where the River Kwai weaves through the rich green jungle, the monks of the Wat Pa Luang Ta Bua Temple are beginning their day.
They call it the Tiger Temple, and its story is the stuff of fairy tales. According to Abbot a tiger cub orphaned by poachers was brought to the temple years ago.

The abbot cared for her and, as word spread, more people brought sickly and orphaned cubs to the temple's doorstep. Those cubs went on to have their own cubs, and nine years on there are now 34 tigers living here.

The Buddhists believe in reincarnation and the abbot feels that these tigers are his family. As he told ABC News, "I think they are my babies: my son, my daughter, my father, mother. If not in the present life, in the past life."

Buddhists also believe that animals, like humans, are sentient beings.


"When the tiger angry, when you angry, it's the same. When you hungry, when the tiger hungry, it's the same. When you tired, when the tiger tired, it's the same!" the abbot explains.

He has used this understanding to raise some of the tamest tigers in the world, catapulting this small forest monastery into the international limelight.

Every afternoon, up to 1,000 tourists from across the world flock to the Tiger Temple for their very own personal tiger experience.

And what they see is unlike any American zoo exhibit. Tiger Temple is hands-on, meaning visitors can pet the enormous cats and even hold their heads in their laps for photos.

"I'd seen it on the tellie before I left Ireland, so I was dying to do it when I got here. They're just so beautiful," tourist Georgina Stanley told ABC News.

Tiger Temple Draws Global Visitors

The abbot has hired more than 50 people to help care for his growing family and growing business. Margarita Steinhardt first came to the temple from Russia seven years ago and is now one of the head caretakers of the tigers.

"Somebody mentioned that there is a monastery where you can come and look at the tigers if you want. I did and they had little cubs at the time," she said. "As soon as I saw them and touched them I just lost myself to them. I asked the abbot if I could stay, and he said all right, and then I stayed on and on and on."

As with the rest of the staff, Steinhardt, who was studying conservation biology in Australia before arriving at the temple, had little prior experience working with animals. The monastery has invited some animal experts to visit, including one famous Canadian trainer, but the animals' daily care is left to the monks and other staffers rather than trained animal professionals. They turn to local veterinarians when the tigers get sick.

Tourists visiting the Tiger Temple pay big money: anything from $15 just for entry, up to $50 for the very special photograph of a tiger with its head in your lap. The temple says the money goes toward caring for the tigers (each animal eats 13 pounds of meat a day) and construction of "Tiger Island," where it is hoped the tigers will soon move to live in larger enclosures.

Most of the tourists ABC News spoke with said it was worth every penny.

"This is the reason we came to Thailand," gushed Anne, visiting from Australia. "Actually lying next to it and feeling it breathing is just fantastic!"

But not all of the visitors were convinced, and one even insinuated that the tigers, calmly sleeping in the sun while tourists petted and prodded them, were drugged.

"I don't know what they're on but they've got to be on something if they're laying around like that," said Pete, also from Australia.

It's a persistent rumor that the temple rejects.

"A Buddhist monastery seriously drugging an animal? It's very dangerous to sedate animals. When they come out from under anaesthetic they are very disorientated. They will attack anything that moves," Steinhardt said.

A recent report by wildlife organization, Care for the Wild (CWI), went further, accusing the temple of illegally trafficking and mistreating the tigers, allegations that the temple emphatically denies.

Robyn Shelby, a law student from California, has been volunteering at the temple for seven months and told ABC News, "I haven't seen anything that I don't agree with, and I am very big on animal rights. These tigers are really happy and you can see that in their interactions with people."


Tigers Tamed Starting at 3 Weeks Old

ABC News spent three days at the temple and did not see any evidence of drugging or mistreating the animals.

Steinhardt says that the temple has nothing to hide.

"If somebody wants to investigate the temple, come here, have a look, film what you want to film, nothing is closed off to the public here," she said. "People can go anywhere they like, they can see anything they want."

The CWI report also raises concerns about the risks of close physical contact between the tigers and the tourists. So far the temple has been lucky and no one has been hurt, but the abbot is well aware of the potential danger.

"I don't want the accident," he said. "I don't want my tiger to kill human who come to see him from far away, like United States."

To help prevent such a disaster, the temple begins taming the cubs at just three weeks old. They are taken from their mothers and brought to live with humans.

Tim Pollard is the lucky man in charge of rearing this latest batch of cubs. He worked as a mounted policeman before becoming the tigers' caretaker.

"I'm their mum once we take them away from mum," Pollard said. "We live in the cage with them."

The abbot says his long-term mission is to find a suitable piece of land and release future generations of his cubs into the wild. This is at odds with the temple's practice of hand-rearing the cubs. Tame tigers can never survive in the wild, but the temple says it has a plan.

"What they intend to do here is, once they've got the area to release them, we'll move into a breeding program where the new cubs will be taught to look after themselves and from thereon they'll teach the next generation to fend for themselves and be released," Pollard explained.

Not everyone is convinced, and some believe the temple is less about conservation than exploitation.

Edwin Wiek, the founder of Wildlife Friends of Thailand, says the temple's mission is impossible.

"It's never worked and it will never work," Wiek told ABC News. "TheTiger Temple is a zoo, nothing more and nothing less."

Abbot Unconcerned With Criticism


There are those who argue that, for the moment, tigers may be better off in captivity than they are in the wild. Mass deforestation and rampant poaching have left just 200 wild tigers in Thailand and 5,000 or 6,000 in the whole world, making them an endangered species.

Steinhardt believes the temple's tigers raise awareness about the plight of tigers in the wild.
Hopefully, people get to love them by seeing them so close and then they go bak and if they come across any tiger conservation activity, they'll support them in the future," she said.
The abbot seems unfazed by all the criticism.

"If they have the question, OK, come to see, come to see," he said.

He believes people see what they want to see, and he welcomes skeptics and experts to come and spend time at the temple.

All of the employees of the temple asked ABC News to make it known that the temple actively seeks advice from people with expertise with wild animals and invites such people to spend time helping out and educating the staff.

For now, the abbot is content to continue pursuing his dream of repopulating the forests of Thailand with the descendants of his tigers. As the Buddhist proverb goes, "if we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep walking."

Nine-year-old Muhammad Ponari, a boy whom locals believe possess healing powers, dips his "magic stone" into a bottle of water during a mass healing event in East Java.

The tiny river fish's mouth is stuffed with herbal medicine before it is forced live down the throat of asthmatics.
