From small, Brenda Allison had metallic objects such as coins, safety pins, magnets and even metal lids stuck on her body.
The 50-year-old British accounts manager has also set off car alarms, interrupted television signals and blown out light bulbs.
"When I was a child, my parents stopped buying me watches because my magnetic field kept interfering with the timing mechanism.

"We also constantly had the TV repair man round because I had interfered with the electronics in some way," she said, adding her body could emit a negative or positive charge, depending on the time of the month.

The mother of one child, who is dubbed "the human magnet", said she was often embarrassed by her mysterious power.

"I had a dreadful experience at a supermarket. When I reached the check-out, the till machine started to misbehave.

"The man on the checkout shouted at me and accused me of putting a voodoo curse on his till."

Allison said the metallic objects could stay on her body for up to 45 minutes and when the pulse was at its strongest, she could even dance without the items falling off.

As she grew up, she realised the magnetic pulses were strongest at the end of each menstrual cycle.

Allison, of Holloway in North London, first noticed the effects of her magnetism when she was in nursery school.

She said: "Metal objects don’t fly towards me but when I put them close to my skin I can feel a pull. They tend to stay on for longer if they are near a bone - I don't know why."

"My son has grown up with my magnetism, so he finds it normal. But he used to complain when it stopped his battery-operated toys from working."

Every person has an electromagnetic field flowing through his or her body but most would not notice it because the field is too weak.

Kathy Geminiani, an electrotherapy expert, said it was possible that Allison has a stronger charge in her body.

"Everyone has a charge, all slightly different. It sounds like Brenda is highly charged."

A New Orleans woman was jailed for ten days after she went to court in low-riding shorts which revealed her underwear. Kimberly Senette, 23, had only gone to court to urge her brother Lawrence Senette, 18, to accept a plea deal.
But Judge Steve Windhorst took a dim view of her revealing outfit and locked her up for contempt of court. Miss Senette was wearing knee-length shorts which revealed her pants and the top of her buttocks, according to a witness.When Judge Windhorst questioned her appearance, she said she had to remove her belt when going through a security checkpoint at the courtroom entrance. She ended up being handcuffed and seated a row behind her brother as he eventually accepted a 12-year prison sentence in exchange for his guilty plea to carjacking and battery charges.
"It certainly is not unheard of for a judge to hold a person in contempt for disruptive or disorderly dress in court," said Dane Ciolino, a Loyola University law professor.

It’s over 5,000 miles from Greece but residents from Pahang in Malaysia claim to have found a Gorgon, like the famed Medusa.
The strange creature, which has the body of a snake and the head of a human, was reportedly captured by Malaysian aborigines. The story goes that the men spotted two of the beasts, one male and one female, but only managed to catch the female. Witnesses claimed that the creature initially begged to be released back into the mountains, others say it was trying to summon the male monster to come and rescue it.
In Greek mythology Gorgons are hideous women often portrayed with live snakes for hair and a serpent’s body, one look into the eyes of a Gorgon is supposed to turn you to stone. The specimen on display in Pahang appears to be the coiled up body of a python with a human head and little skinny arms, news of the bizarre animal quickly circulated and people began paying good money to view the beast, which sadly turned out to be dead, the so called ’snake monster’ has not been verified.

Fatal, whose real name is Maria Isabel Gomes Cardoso, claims that the latest opinion polls show she already has around 10,000 votes in the bag.
If she can increase that to 12,000, her campaign manager, who was inspired by the Hungarian porn star La Cicciolina, elected to Italy's parliament in 1987, believes Fatal will soon become Fatal MP. Fatal is joined on the campaign trail by the Democrats party candidate Maria Adelina Nascimento, AKA Katia Heffner. Named after Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy, she runs a popular swingers club in Fortaleza. A trip to the supermarket is fraught with danger for Fran Dando, who suffers from bananaphobia.
She is so scared of bananas that all it needs is a glimpse of one to make her shake, sweat profusely and even vomit.

The 21-year-old children's worker in Hastings, East Sussex in the UK suffers from bananaphobia, an overwhelming fear of the yellow fruit.
"It began when I was seven and my brother put a banana in my bed as a joke," said Dando.

"I felt his horrible, slimy thing underneath my body. I was frozen in panic and hyperventilating. Ever since then, if I see one the same feeling comes back."
She has since been forced to dodge bananas in shops and turn a blind eye to them in the fruit bowl at friend’s houses.
"I generally do not explain my fear unless a situation comes up.
"Then I will say: 'Sorry I am going to have to leave the room'. It is embarrassing - it is such a nonsensical fear."
However, Dando's two-year-old son, Harrison, loves bananas, which has put her in a tricky situation.
"I have to use a blanket to pick them up and put them in the trolley and then when I am at home I have to wear rubber gloves and use a tea towel to open one and give it to him," she said.

An inquest into the death of Brit Frederick Edwards in 1933 found 200 nails, 36 staples and 3 penknives in his stomach. But he didn’t even have half the appetite of Frenchman Michel Lotito, whose stage name was “Mr Eat All.” Michel ate 18 bicycles, 15 shopping carts, 7 TV sets, a computer, numerous razor blades and, believe it or not, one Cessna 150 light aircraft. The aircraft meal was not fast food, though; it took him two years, 1978 – 1980, to munch through the delight. He finished the shopping cart in four-and-a-half days.

On average, Lotito ate 2 lb (almost a kg) of glass and metal a day (as seen in the Mr Eat All video). His strange diets certainly was enough to get him into the Guinness Book of Records section of unusual skills. Only bananas and hard-boiled eggs made him feel sick, he said.
Michel’s unique diet included bicycles and an airplane!
Michel died in 2007, age 57, of natural causes
