DEATH did not part this couple — they were still holding hands when their tomb was uncovered 1,500 years after their burial.

Archaeologists found the couple in Modena, northern Italy.
Excavation director Donato Labate, said: "We believe the couple were originally buried with their eyes facing each other's. I have been involved in many digs but I've never felt so moved."
