This is one dog whose bark is definitely worse than his bite.
Loukanikos, a stray who lives on the streets of Athens, Greece, has become an unlikely celebrity... for his dedication to anti-government protests.
The clearly opinionated mutt has been pictured on the front line of protests, dodging tear gas and barking at riot police, for the last three years.
And he has become a mascot for protesters furious at stringent government cuts and tax hikes.
The dog, whose name means 'sausage', is a regular feature as demonstrators clash with riot police in the Greek capital.
He has become so famous for his peaceful protests that a Facebook page has been set up in his honour, and videos of his exploits posted on YouTube.

Fierce clashes have erupted in Greece over the last week as the government attempts to push through austerity measures which form part of the conditions of the 110billion euro bailout from last year.
Unemployment in the country has soared to 16 per cent and experts say it is facing defaulting on its debts if the austerity measures are not passed.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister George Papandreou narrowly won a no-confidence vote in the parliament building in Syntagma Square - the scene of most of the protests.
