Family snap: Mr Noor asked his children to find
him a new wife after his first died in 2005. 60-year-old Samoi, from

At the grand old age of 120, it was probably about time Hazi Abdul Noor settled down and got married.
Mr
Noor claims to be the oldest bridegroom in the world after tying the
knot with second wife Samoi Bibi, 60, in the village of Satghari in
north-eastern India.
Despite
looking relatively fresh-faced for someone who has been a centenarian
for 20 years, he presides over a family of 122 - including two sons,
four daughters and a lot of grandchildren.
Five hundred guests attended the wedding in the sleepy village in the state of Assam.
Salima
Khatun, his first wife, died in 2005 and he had asked his children to
find him a wife who could look after him, according to the Times of
India.
Mr Noor said: 'My age in the voter list is 116 years. But actually I am 120 years old.'
His son, Hazi Azir Uddin, said: 'Soon
after my mother's death, my father requested us to find him another wife
who would look after him.
'It
was not an easy job to find a bride for 100-year-old. However, by the
grace of God, we have found a new mother, though she's half his age.
'She was married once early in life. Her husband died and she has no children.'
After marrying Mr Noor, his new wife has now acquired several new stepsons and stepdaughters - many of whom are older than her.
She said: 'I will try my best to take care of my husband.'
