The shortest man in China - measuring just 72.5-centimeter tall and weighing 9 kilograms - hoped to grow another 40 cm with the help of growth hormone injections, but found he cannot afford them.
Wu Kang, 23, a resident in Hubei province, who has the height and weight of a 1-year-old baby, went to Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, for medical treatment.
However, the treatment will cost at least 1.8 million yuan (RM836,984), which is beyond the means of his family.
