Three priests have been filmed attending a gay joint and having casual sex in Rome, Italy.

One of the priests even put his cassock back on to have sex with a gay.

A journalist from Panorama magazine – which is owned by Italian Prime Minister and media baron Silvio Berlusconi – had gone undercover and filmed the priests' acts using hidden cameras.

The magazine has frontpaged the article, headlined Gay Priests’ Nights on the Town, in its latest edition that hit the streets on Friday.

In the report, the journalist wrote that he was introduced to the gay community by a gay accomplice, who also invited him to attend a party - hosted by a French priest.
It detailed on how the three priests - two Italians and a Frenchman - took part in gay events and had casual sex.

During the party, a priest was seen "dirty dancing" with two gays and was then seen putting on his cassock to have sex with a gay.

In one occasion, this priest had a wild night with two gays and the next morning, he was performing mass.
Another priest claimed that 98% of the priests he knows are homosexual.

The news has rocked the Catholic Church, which forbids priests to have sex and homosexuality is also seen as a sin.

The Catholic Church in Italy has urged the priests to leave the priesthood.

The Diocese of Rome denounced those priests who were leading a "double life" and said they should not have been ordained and promised that the church would rigorously pursue anyone who is behaving in a way that is not dignified for a priest.

Bryan Cones, managing editor of the liberal U.S. Catholic Magazine, claimed that there are plenty of priests — straight and gay — who misbehave sexually with other adults.
